The last week has been busy! The glorious summer weather continues, and with it the amazing music events series for which the UK has become synonymous.
Here at Portable Toilets Limited (www.ptl.uk.com) , we are very proud to call some of the biggest names in the event world our clients. These are global events in some of the most beautiful settings we have to offer.
Take Kew The Music for example. Set in Kew Gardens, the event sees relatively intimate audiences of the high thousands watching a diverse range of artists (think anything from Steps and Boyzone to The Human League and Jools Holland) for a week in July.
The unique challenge at this event is the load-in schedule; all our kit and equipment is loaded in in one night. This is to ensure the park stays open for the maximum amount of time and with minimum disruption to the general public. There are few portable toilet rental businesses that would have the resource to load in this way, but Portable Toilets Limited have been solving difficult and unique challenges like this for clients for over 25 years.
As if one signature event in a Royal Park was not enough, let me take you over to the iconic Hyde Park, where six nights of the world’s biggest acts, with open access events during the week (including the biggest ever fanzone for an England world cup game) was taking place. Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time brought some of the world’s biggest acts to the Great Oak Stage, and some of the UK’s bests contractors to make it happen. Roger Waters, Michael Bublé and Eric Clapton, Bruno Mars, The Cure and Paul Simon (performing his last ever UK gig) all wowed record audiences in West London over the two weekends.
Portable Toilets Limited (www.ptl.uk.com) looks after all the backstage, artist and VIP sanitation for the client. We use our luxury Hullabaloos product to really wow the Barclaycard guests in their area, with sustainable, vacuum flushing technology to use as little water as possible. Coupled with our Vacuum Pods and Luxury trailers, it means that anyone backstage has a truly VIP loo experience!
London this, London that; ‘what about Suffolk I hear you cry?!’ Well, the wonderful Suffolk countryside plays host to Latitude Festival, an amazing family-friendly gathering that sees The Killers, Solange and The Vaccines performing, along with Harry Hill, Sandi Toksvig and hundreds more in the comedy and literary areas, and too many activities to mention!
The arena at Latitude is clean; really clean. The audience are very aware of their natural surroundings, and the recycling operation is large and well bought into. The loos and their operation have to match. Using dedicated male and female loo blocks, along with cleaners and restockers permanently on the loo blocks, we make sure that the guests always have a clean, loo roll-filled portable toilet to use!
