Download Festival choose Portable Toilets Limited (PTL) once again

So, another huge year for Portable Toilets Limited (PTL) at the monster of all rock festivals, the mighty DOWNLOAD ’19.

Biblical weather at Download was not going to stop the rockers, or our teams, from doing their utmost to enjoy an amazingly curated weekend of the best metal bands the world has to offer.

Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool hammered the main stage, whilst Rob Zombie and Slayer went down a storm on the Zippo stage.

Despite the conditions, the load in of way over one thousand portable toilets went very, very well, and as the weekend approached, we were aware more bad weather was on the way. It was safety first for us all the way through, as we continued to move our fleet of portable toilet tankers and cleaning vehicles throughout the campsites across the weekend.

Ticketed luxury festival toilets

Our teams work tirelessly at camping festivals, starting at 0400 and again at 1600, using fleets of modern tankers and washing vehicles to ensure the speedy, and safe, removal of thousands and thousands of gallons of waste.  Each portable toilets is then pressure washed, disinfected and restocked with loo rolls. The mother ships then hit the road and empty off at the sewerage works, plugging into their own bio-diversity plans.

This year also saw the return, again, of the now famous Seat of Luxury installation; a luxury, paid for service with vacuum, freshwater loos in a marquee in the village, all with hairdryers, mirrors and a few creature comforts. On Download ’19 we added even more mobile showers to our Soap Stars enclosure too; this is really proving to be more popular every year.

Our 72-year-old MD even put in a huge appearance, wrist-banding and engaging with the Seat of Luxury guests ALL weekend. What an amazing inspiration among all that mud!

Now onto Royal Ascot and Henley; a Great British Summer of sport! See you onsite!
